Following its postponement last month, the first NOME auction for 2018 began with the offered 400 MWh/h, with a duration of 1 March 2018 to 28 February 2019 (8760 hours) and reserve price of 32,05 €/MWh. After the record price of the auction in October 2017 (45.2), the final price dropped this year to 41.45 euro / MWh. The first reactions of the market show satisfaction and the desire to further reduce the price in future auctions, since the purpose of the NOME-type auctions is to distribute a larger share of the dominant supplier as agreed with the lenders, a goal that does not seem to be achieved.
