At 42.05 euros per MWh, yesterday’s NOME auction ended offering a total of 400MW to participants for the period from 1 June 2018 to 31 May 2019, with the reserve price set at 32.05 euros/ MWh. Last February, hopes were expressed that the price would continue on a downward path, but these were not verified. Of the total amount offered, about half of it was shared by the market players and the traders, while the other half were claimed by the three big companies (ELPEDISON, IRON, PROTERGIA). The next auction is scheduled for 18/7, similarly with 400MW, while in total for 2018 it is estimated that 1.713 MWh / h will be auctioned through NOMEs.
